Love in our relationships

How do you define Love

Love has an essence that resists defining in any single way. It encompasses compassion, determination, tolerance, endurance, support, faith, and much more.

I like to define it this way:

Love is expressed as a behavior that meets someone’s emotional needs.

Love is experienced as an emotion when someone meets your emotional needs.

Simply when you deny your emotions, you deny yourself love.

How we define love has the potential to change how we see ourselves and the world around us.

When people believe that love is food, shelter, and clothing or they believe love equals sex, then they can end up with a very unfulfilling life with very little to show for their endeavors. Over time, they can become isolated and alone even if they have family, lots of money, or titles.
